Recently hired police chief protects his own, even thou he knows the truth. It's not his right to decide if that his officers 'didn't do a bad thing'; it's his JOB to enforce the law, not brush over felonies because those that committed them are 'good guys' and he doesn't want to ruin them. Take a polygraph examination attesting to your feelings on the matter, since you've claimed that it's untrue that those chaps didn't express that they were about to murder a white-furred puppy. They're not court admissible but boy are they accurate. That'll ascertain if you genuinely feel your boys are innocent. Quit employing and protecting felons who use deadly force on animals that are not a threat to their person.

I read a story about a police officer this department could be so proud of. he spoke the truth even in the face of criticism and harrassment. he stood with integrity and chose to be an advocate of life...the life of animals.
